Bubble Bar
Sharing our bubbles with the cheery chap working in the Police Box Coffee Bar, whilst we waited for our next film to start. We had a wonderful day that was the highlight of the school half-term holiday for us.
We took the 0852 train to Edinburgh, which meant jumping on our bikes at 0820. We were just in time for a hot chocolate in Waverley Station and then off to the cinema for Animals United. After a trip to John Lewis toy department, we took our bubbles down to the Paolozzi statues by St Mary's Cathedral. I fancied a coffee and got chatting to the guy behind the bar, so we offered him a bottle of bubbles and we all joined in. Great fun.
Lunch at Frankie & Benny's which was very good. Polite, attentive staff, decent food, proper childrens menu and not too expensive. We'll be back!
Then the main event - Gnomeo And Juliet. Pretty good, English accents and a Scottish frog so some decent laughs. Little Katie slept right through the film so she was brighter later.
Home on the train and a tired cycle home. What a lovely day out. Lots of photos on Flickr.
