Sunrise

It was actually not dark when I left for work this morning, and as I went over the chalk downs I couldn't resist stopping for this picture. The foreground has gone all pointillist; presumably I could have stopped that by adjusting something, but as yet I only know how to point and shoot.

At lunchtime I took some more pictures of the alder catkins near the office, which are fully out now. The upright female flowers are interesting.
