Coronation Walk
The paths that intersect the Meadows are always a good place to go when looking for a walk. There must be miles of them from the playpark at the east, all the way up through the Bruntsfield Links, surrounded by one of the largest inner city parks I have ever come across in Britain.
This photograph was taken at around ten pm, when the paths are dark and deserted. The contrast between then and ten am is astounding, with the hoards of students marching in their Converse and Uggs, military boots and pumps, iPods in, heads down, onwards towards their days in lectures, tutorials, libraries and coffee shops.
They quite often look quite glum. But really, there could be worse walks to start your day!
