Rainy Day

Heavy rain frightens me, but I had committed to being a chaperone for this lively group of middle school kids who were walking downtown for a field trip. Although most of them were in sweatshirts, I was bundled head to toe in rain gear suitable for a monsoon. Being with them was much more fun than huddling at home and worrying about leaks and floods.
