Nearly ready -monarch butterfly almost mature!

Pupa or chrysalis of a monarch butterfly, showing the wings etc ready to hatch from the protective cocoon.

This butterfly pupated on the swan plant but was in danger of being eaten off so had to be rescued and pegged!
