Bobble Hat

Thank you for all the lovely, lovely comments and favourites on yesterday's blip. It got 10 favourites in the end which is far and away the most I've ever had and has left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling :-)

Lacking much in the way of inspiration today, I headed downstairs to one of the Uni cafe bar areas to do some project planning and have a look for blips. It's a popular space with students, who come to work and/or use the free wi-fi and is therefore a good place to people watch/blip hunt.

This law student was sat quietly with her notes and books for a while, until her peace was somewhat interrupted by Bobble Hat Dude, with his earphones and Mac.

I'd been trying for some longer exposure movement shots of people walking by, but when I took this, had upped the shutter speed so it came out a bit grainier and darker than I wanted.

And - even though I was only downstairs for about 10 mins, by the time I got back upstairs my colleagues had ripped into the assorted Hotel Chocolat posh chocolates that Kay had brought in for her birthday and I had to move quickly to pounce on a praline wotnot - cheek of it.... ;-)

Ooh and I'm away this weekend so may have to backblip. In the words of Depeche Mode: Enjoy the Silence....

Edit: skippygirl has just told me that she's decided to take part in a mini-triathlon and has very kindly offered to make it into a sponsored event and will donate any funds raised to my Macmillan fund :-) I'm feeling warm and fuzzy again now...
