Blocking the sun

Do shadows weigh anything?
Does diminished light weigh less than direct light from the sun?
Does the earth and everything on it breathe easier at night?
It's Friday night and my brain is numb and leafless like these trees.
Waiting for some weighty light to stir my little reverie.
