Thistle Down

Life's Stage

An actor...we all,
On the stage of life.
Our heights we ascend,
With effort and strife.

Seeking for realms,
Where there's a lead part.
Determined to conquer,
With hope in your heart.

First amateur scenes,
In childhood is filled.
While maturity unfolded,
And wise-ways were skilled.

And when comes our exit,
After climax is passed.
Let the audience just roar,
Wide-eyed, till the last.

Or will they find error,
And watch out for flaws?
Or sound their approval,
In louder applause?

"Life is a stage...we act out our days...whether noble or silly...the world see our ways." E.P.
