where the wild things are
It's February and it is freezing.
The mothers of the wildest boys in the school sit on a park bench in the icy wind and watch in feminine bewilderment.
Four boys decide to play rugby, and knowing little about the rules they focus on the contact aspect of the sport. They take off their tops and cover themselves in mud.
We feel colder.
Meanwhile, Orlando plays a solitary game of football wearing a wetsuit. He runs a constant commentary.
He plans to go surfing with sharks in Cornwall next week.
I've packed plenty of hats and gloves.
