An institution damaged, I suspect, like quite a few businesses on and around Fleshmarket Close by the removal of The Scotsman to its rather bland new premises on Holyrood Road 10 (??!!) years ago.

My Dad's gone here for years to get his thick thatch trimmed, my older lad has been going for a while now, and we were there today to induct younger son into the joys of an Alfie trim (as an alternative if needed to the marvellous Galician Senor Veiga on Leith Walk). It was the first time I'd ever ventured in, let alone sat and watched the world go by to and from Waverley. Interesting.
