I see you drivin round town...
I was home sick today. I genuinely hate this sinus infection because it's such a tease. The front of my face is swollen and hurting, when I smile I look asian, my voice is gone, I can't breathe all morning until about 1:30 and all of a sudden I'm fine. So after I was feeling better I headed over to Adelphi to see "The Laramie Project." So emotional. I couldn't help but think of the close minded people in my life and think about life in general.
So on the way there for some reason I strained my eyes and this is kind of what I saw. I remember doing that as a little kid in the car at night. I would strain my eyes making them see out of focus and then move my head from side to side to watch the pictures change. So then I realized today that it's the same thing my camera does. Then I took out my camera and took this picture.
"I remembered something to myself. The night he and I drove around together, he said, 'Laramie sparkles, doesn't it?' And where he was in that spot up there, if you sit exactly in that spot up there, Laramie sparkles. With the low-lying clouds, it's - uh - it's the blue lights that bounce off the clouds. And it goes over the whole city. I mean, I mean, it blows you away. And Matt was right there in that spot. And I can just picture - in his eyes - what he was seeing. And the last thing that he saw on this Earth was the sparkling lights of Laramie, Wyoming."
-The Laramie Project.
