Home on the hill

Balzac could have spent his whole life in our hameau on the hill, and still managed to write La Comedie Humaine. Here, amongst it's six houses, one mobile home and a chicken shed, is all humanity - poverty, wealth, and all that is in between, folly, madness, jealousy, friendship, atheism, paganism, catholocism (non praticant), french conservatism, political indifference, socialism, love and hate and so on.....
Sometimes, when feuding parties get too much, it is good to distance oneself - to get up into the hills and look at it from a distance.
