The Kirk
Had a wander around the historic Duddingston Village today. This church is really ancient - it was founded in the 12th century by a Norman Knight called Dodin.
The Gatehouse on the left, built with windows on each wall, was formerly used to watch for "body-snatchers" (criminals in the early 19th century who stole corpses to sell for medical research.)
Thought the tree added a sinister touch!
