Captain Scott's birthday party 1911.

On this very rainy Saturday I went out with the parents to Braintree to see a touring exhibition of Herbert Ponting's photographs from the Scott Polar expedition, really enjoyed it and it has reignited my interest in the great explorers of this time.

I feel like re-reading Terra Incognita by Sara Wheeler now which initially spiked my interest in this era.
