How To Train A Dog

...has been left up to the almost three year old today. I found Mr C snuggled in a rubbermaid bin this morning...sitting on a pile of clothes, pillow propped up behind his head, reading one of a "loaned" dog training book from a neighbor.

Speaking of dogs, we had a random dog show up at on our front porch this morning...we live about 1/2 mile from our closest neighbor, so not something that happens often around here. And, it definitely wasn't a "farm dog," but quite the opposite. After numerous phone calls and driving around for a bit, we stopped in at the local vet to see if anyone had been looking for a dog. The answer was no, but they were glad to take it in and try and find it's home. I was glad to do that, as the only other option was to drop it at dog control.

The minute we pulled in the driveway, we found a note on our garage door from the neighbors...turns out they have someone staying with them and the dog had gotten lose. I was glad to hear the dog had a home and the owner had been found....
