I got an excited call from Mr. Lightwave while I was on the train going to work. "The Dictator's resigned!" he said. "I thought you'd want to know". Indeed I did. We have an interesting attitude towards Egypt here. Everyone is cheering for the protesters, urging them on in their struggle, and yet successive governments have supported Mr Mubarek, paying him off, I suppose, because it is in our national interest to do so. Interesting.

Anyway.

Tangentially associated with the above, or at least police presence at noisy public gatherings, this is a shot of a stack of police barriers ready for Sunday's Chinese New Year celebrations. Hopefully a good time will be had by all.
