The missing women of Ciudad Juarez in Mexico ...

This is a powerful installation in Pallant House Gallery that completely stopped me in my tracks this morning. Over the past few months visitors and staff of the Gallery have been sewing name tags to commemorate the lives of over 500 women who have gone missing on the US/Mexician border. Created by Lise Bjorne Linnert, these are the names of the women who have been sexually assaulted, brutally murdered and disappeared - most touching are the women with no names.
