Abandoned?

Yesterday morning, whilst walking the dog, this beautiful animal was on the grass verge, staked out, with no water and only the short grass to nibble on. OK..it has a heavy winter coat on which does suggest that the "individual" who left it...NOW for three days, did have a small regard for it's welfare...not enough to provide it with water though.

The busy main road is 10 feet away, it could so easily have dragged up the stake and walked into the traffic. The RSPCA aren't interested in helping it, after I contacted them

Since it was more than possible it could have been killed or caused the death of a motorist I contacted the police.."Oohh we'll take care of it" I spoke to the police twice...24 hours later it's still there, poor thing. I just took it some more carrots and some kind person has provided a bucket of water. I just hope the Romany or Traveller type, should that be who DID leave it, arrives to collect it before long. 500 yards away is a cycle path with lots of grass and a much quieter and safer area to leave it too!
