Betula utilis jacquemontii

Our nearby botanical garden called Dawyck has re-opened after the winter closure and today we went along to admire the masses of snowdrops. But I was not happy with the pictures and instead preferred this one. It looked like a lantern, the trunk was so white. It's common in the Himalayas apparently!
