Cravings

I realized the other day that I hadn't had crumpets in months, and suddenly felt that I absolutely had to find some (they're few and far between here).

So I and a very patient friend spent half the day today looking all over Atlanta for crumpets. I found a Flake bar, some Walker's Crisps, and a Yorkshire pudding mix, but no luck on the main goal, until my friend found a Publix grocery that actually had some in the back cooler, though not actually out on the floor. I loaded up.


It's strange the blind alleys grief takes you down. Things you never really gave a second thought to before suddenly become the most important things in the world.
