Conservation Winterbourne
Conservation today involved attacking overgrown holly trees from the area of woodland attached to Winterbourne house and gardens in Edgbaston. The holly had become over-grown and was blocking the light to the other smaller and less boisterous trees. So down it came.
With help, I managed to lop down 8 trees in total, it was great fun shouting 'Timbaa' before they fell and the sound of them cracking as they went down was rather thrilling too. It was a brutal battle and consequently, I now have scratches on my legs and face.
This is one of the trees we cut down, they were pretty big bleeders.
