Buds

Went out this morning looking for the signs of Spring, they are there, but very tentative at the moment. There were only a very few buds breaking open at the moment, and those only in pretty sheltered spots...

I did a collage because I could not capture what I had in mind in a single image, in the end I used five, but could easily have used a dozen or more.

OK, what are they?

Bottom left - Elder.

Top Left - One of the wild roses.

Top Right - The cultivated hedging rose.

Bottom Right - Sycamore.

Center - Forsythia.
