Verandah
Morning view from our hotel room in which we are temporarily staying at the moment in Copacabana.
PS
This is an unusual, for me, shutter arrangement; the shutters are hinged horizontally and are board stiff as you can see. To open them, you need to open the internal glass panel and the half door to 45 degrees, push the shutter up from the inside until it is above balustrade height but still within the verandah foot print, then close the door (all from inside) until the bottom of the shutter swivels out over the balustrade and then lower it to rest on it! Quite a palaver, but worth it to let light in...getting onto the verandah with shutters open is another story!!!

Also played with light and dark down at the beach in yesterday's back blip.
