Knee Deepen...

You can also see the horizontal track of a snowboarder who cut across us while we were skiing the slope. Duh.

At the beginning of the morning, waiting for the Fornet cable car I spotted a bunch of young Skandi skiers with fat, fat, fat freeride skis. Later they passed us on the traverse to Col Pers, bunched up and skiing very fast. As we arrived at the col they were setting off, opting for the main bowl, thus leaving us with the clean snow round the corner (thanks Skandis!). Without exception they skied as fast as possible, with that lazy bum-wiggle-turn style which freeride skis allow pretty much anyone to do. I think they managed one pole plant between them.

If your name is not Seth Morrison or Sage Cattabriga-Alosa (of TGR, and I strongly recommend their videos to see freeride skiing at it's absolute highest level) may I suggest that those fat skis are put to one side.
