an age old rivalry

Today I was presented with the aftermath of dog vs chicken.
The dog had got into the pen, licked his lips and set about choosing his lunch. Unfortunately he chose Harriet, a bold and fearless hen. She set about him with claws and beak until he hot tailed it over the fence.
Harriet has a small scratch on her back. Digger has multiple wounds (easily treated) and a dark dark cloud of shame above his head!

Got to love a feisty chicken.

Busy day after a busy weekend so plan to eat chocolate, have a bath and early beds.
