Why did the Chicken cross the road?

Because there is a rooster across the street silly! And so it goes as the weather improves keeping my chicken in my yard is proving difficult. After wrangling them back into my yard they all gathered around my water tank to quench their thirst. The red one amongst the chicken butts is a Rhode Island Red. She's sweet but prefers being carried to her pen rather then walking herself.

When it's time to return to their coop her and a couple others squat down, raise their wings slightly and assume the position. Chicken translation "CARRY ME". I blame it on Bela who carried them everywhere from the time they were chicks. My daughters' friends think its fun to let them out just so they can pick them up and carry them home.

Yes they are spoiled but they put out 7-8 eggs a day that are healthier, richer in color and taste better then store bought so they have spoiled us as well.
