Friar and Balsam

These two monks were given to us some years ago. Mr DV is quite fond of them...I am not so fond of them. They were named Friar and Balsam and have been adorning shelves etc; in a variety of houses. They do have a practical use too, although we have never used them for anything other than ornaments. I wonder If you know what we should use them for?

My son has come home from Uni for a couple of days and my daughter, son-in-law and Harry have all come so that we can have a family meal together, which is great. Harry is staying the night, so possibly not much opportunity to write comments tonight...we shall see!
