Picturesque hamlet of Schipluiden
Gloriously sunny but a bitterly, icy cold wind, perfect walking weather. Today I ventured further North through parts of Midden-Delfland to discover this lovely picturesque little hamlet named Schipluiden. I didn't even know this tiny place existed, and yet so close to where I live!
All the typically Dutch characteristics on show here: the waterways weaving through the centre with narrow cobbled streets alongside, red tiled roofs, windmill, a town hall and an Albert Heijn supermarket. That's about it!
Lovely little place to escape to for my 'alone time', strolling along the Vlaardingkade, listening to the water lapping against the side of the moored boats. Most relaxing.
