Tick tock, tick tock

This blip is coming to you much later than planned. Tonight has proven to be a little on the busy side. I'll come to that in a minute. This is an 8 minute exposure. It's something I've been meaning to try for a little while to get some minute hand motion blur. In reality I think a shorter exposure would have given a better result as the minute hand is near invisible on mine! I do like the motion blur around the spindle though.

The reason this blip is so late is that tonight, Becci and I did two very grown up things. Firstly we set up a joint bank account. And secondly we went to ikea. It's been very productive on the whole but I was quite upset to find the ikea cafe closed. No meatballs!

Some other good news, since my last blip, I have 'won' a sigma macro lens on ebay. Well, actually I've 'won' two of them. The first one was a bargain that I couldn't resist but not the lens I was really after. The second one, a 180mm version is what I wanted and was a good price so I'll likely sell the first one on again. The 180mm looks like a beast! It's huge. Expect lots of pictures of really little stuff to arrive on my blip imminently.
