macrome
I love my M9, like seriously. Even when I'm not using it, I like to just look at it and play with it's perfectly engineered body. It feels so good in my hands. Tactile and unforgiving. As much as i love it, it has one major flaw. No lens for it can focus on a subject less than 70cm away from the lens. There is probably some old M mount lens that can get closer, but macro lenses don't exist per se. Shame. I miss macro on my M9.
I read an article about reversing lenses. So I took my 50mm lens off (removed the filter too) and held it back to front over the hole. At first it was a bit dark and blurred so upped the ISO to 2500 and set the aperture to 16 so the depth of field was wider. It's very hit and miss, but you can get some lovely effects. Light leaks in here and there and you can tilt the lends a little to get some lensbaby-esque blur. It has a film camera look to it too. The grain combined with the odd dust particle here and there. Will have to try this out a bit more. Just need to remember, don;t dink the front element and watch out for dust getting in.
Give it a go if you dare! ;-)
