THE LONGEST DREAM #3
MERHABA MY FRIENDS
Times were hard down on the farm, especially
in winter time. A farmers life difficult, sometimes
impossible, but together they survived the harshness.
The summer months she loved the most, still a lot of
work to do, the sunny days made it more enjoyable,
in the evenings they would stroll hand in hand through
the flower filled meadow , laughing and in love and of
course very happy.
Oh! How i long for those days to return, She thought
to herself. `But the never will`, she turned on her side,
to get comfy, and closed her eyes again to dream.
Out side the wind and rain still hammered down, she
sank deeper , and deeper into her dream, visiting older
memories and forgotten smiles, dancing through the
corn fields singing happily as the sun glistened on the
heads of the corn turning it into a field of gold.
Strolling back home and picking wild flowers for their
home, listening to the birds as they sing.
A tear fell from her eyes as she dreamed on.
She was now wrapped up in the past, where she longed
to stay. `For ever`, she murmured.
A loud rap at the door met with no reply .
The wind had dropped to a light breeze and the rain had
long since stopped. The old gentleman stood at the door,
unsure what to do next, he checked his watch again, `she
should be up by now` He said to himself, he rapped a little
louder, he was starting to feel uneasy now.
He shattered the small pain of glass in the front door and
reached in and turned the key, once in side he called her
name, no reply, he became very concerned and began to
search each room in turn, finally reaching her bedroom.
He stood by the side of the bed with a bunch of flowers
that he bought for her, tears were rolling down his cheeks
as he stared at her face. `She was gone`he said, gone to
a happier place. He placed the flowers next to her on the
bed, looking down at her, and seeing the `smile` and look
of contentment on her face. She will be having the longest
dream ever, he smiled to himself, as he turned away and
left her to dream.
THE END ;/
