Waitomo Caves

With heavy rain in the night and zero visibility in the early morning we decided not to do the Tongariro Crossing today and instead took a detour to the Waitomo Caves. Abseiling 100m into one of the caves and hiking was great fun and definitely one of my highlights. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to bring my camera. After dusk, we did the highly recommended Waitomo Ruakuri Bushwalk where I took this long time exposure.
