shine ever on
Unfortunately, newbag exhibited a distinct lean to the left which no amount of strap-adjustment could fix. I eventually noticed that the stitching was uneven, resulting in lots more bag on the left-hand-side and a resultant misdistribution of weight. Another bag was back-ordered in but turned out to have the same problem. Despite the purchase having been made during sale-time which saved £12 the transaction was refunded today. The original need for newbag was that oldbag was knackered and was likely to cost almost the cost of a newbag (during sale time) to repair, an estimate borne out by the estimate provided by the fixing-people. Fortunately, Tiso (bless their little Gore-Tex socks) again did almost exactly what they did a while back and didn't tell the repair-people not to conduct the repair soon enough to prevent them conducting the repair, which I ended up not paying for the last time (though I had in the meantime bought a new bag) and which I paid a paltry amount for this time as a gesture of goodwill (even though, at the time, I had bought a replacement bag, though it has now been refunded). Oldbag is a bit smaller and still has a knackered zip on the smallest pocket but the raincover is a much brighter yellow than the orange of the former newbag, making it more noticeable at dawn and dusk.
