Fuse
We went to see the Buskers last night. A great night out and well worth the $2 to get in. Of course, we spent rather more than that once we'd put money in all the various buckets - it was a storm.
We had the good fortune to catch these guys today too. There are seven of them all together and this girl did great things with hula hoops (the round various body parts type, not the eating type) and dangled precariously from these wrist things. They were amazing!
We hope to catch some more tomorrow.
Below is some information about them. It's a bit highbrow, but gives an idea of just how talented these young Kiwis are.
'GRAVITY & OTHER MYTHS' - Fuse Productions (NZ)
In 'Gravity & Other Myths' the dynamic nature of space meets with the extreme and spectacular world of new circus! From the geometry of heavenly bodies to super nova explosions, from quantum physics to the orbit of the moon - New Zealand's very own Fuse Productions brings audiences of the World Buskers Festival a whirlwind of aerial and acrobatic feats using the Spanish web, tissu, fire (evening shows only), trapeze, hula-hoops, counter weights, contortion and more! See bodies plunge, dive and fly in a dance with gravity.
Canterbury's blipped the same act today, different performer. We had a scrap over who blipped what! Thanks for the loan of your 100mm macro lens, Canterbury.
