Up on the wall
Walked past the Fountainbridge Library on Dundee Street and noticed again the decoration high up on the building. The little scene of library life on the front of the building is repeated on the side, just round the corner and this is actually the side one, as it seemed a little sharper and more distinct. The library was built in 1939 in the art deco style and opened the following year. I wonder if the subjects of this wall frieze were purely imaginary or if they were based on real people. The little boy might still be alive.
