I happened to be cutting across Buccleuch Street in Edinburgh this lunchtime when I came upon a whole host of fire-engines and crews responding to a fire. There was a faint whiff of smoke in the air and then I saw someone being carried to safety on a fire-engine ladder.

I am glad to read that no-one was hurt: the story.
