Colon Power
Yes this is an odd photo to share. But for the last year I've been looking at this poster in my husbands doctors office. Figured today I'd take a photo of it.
This is probably TMI, but my husband was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease last year, since then he has had several surgeries, ulimately having his whole colon removed and almost losing his life a couple of times, but with lots of prayers, he's survived and now he has what's called a j-pouch that works in place of his colon.
Medicine & Technology has certainly come a long way.
Anyone who suffers from Crohn's knows the constant chronic daily suffering. My heart goes out to anyone with this awful disease. Since his diagnosis, I don't take my health for granted, I take my vitamins daily, walk daily, and certainly watch my diet more carefully. FOOD TIP: If you eat a lot of salads thinking you're eating healthy, actually leafy greens are the hardest to digest. So you may want to limit your salads. Stick more with the vegetables.
Crohn's can be genetic, but it can also be caused by your environment too, so always wear a mask when working on projects so that you're not inhaling toxins and dust which overtime can also damage your internal organs.
My husband worked in pesticides for many years and then in the remodeling business. Wearing a mask is something he would do on occasion, but rarely.
Sorry for the long description, I usually keep my short and sweet.
