Memory Lane

Today I was driving along a road when I suddenly realised that it was very familiar, though the familiarity extended from my childhood.

I had left this village on my 10th birthday in fact I remember eating birthday cake with the removals men on the journey.

Tilston is a small village near Chester, I lived in the village for about 3 years from the age of 7.

Memories flooded back and it was very emotional for me, I stared at the school that I went to and the house that we lived in.

I talked garrulously to Mrs B2b and must have bored her with tales of the adventures of a 8yr old boy and his brother!

Even the tiny village shop was still there!

The photo is the sign on the village playing field, known to us as "The Rec".

One day I will return and spend more time there.
