If you have an itch.......

.........you know what to do.

Thing is, when it comes to itches, there are various kinds.

The rude acute itch of a midge bite.
The slightly less aggressive itch of an annoying label in a new jumper.
The strange itch, and the more you think about the itch and what has caused it, the more persistent an itch it becomes.
And finally, the slow burning, I'm not sure I like where I am itch.

Unfortunately I think the final one has happened to a very valued member of my team.

I'm trying to metaphorically scratch it, but I suspect she really needs to do that herself.

Gutted is not the word. I hope I can change her mind, but who knows, maybe the itch is too persistent.
