Messing about on the water .....

The sun shone and the children said could they go to the park. A short journey and we are at my childhood place Greenbank. Its changed over the years but still has a hold on my heart.

Despite the warmth of the sunshine the wind was still icy so a swift bracing walk was in order. This place is amazing and the lake was splattered with the usual bird life coots, geese, ducks and bright white prima dona's aka swans.

This one glided over with a give me bread glint its eye.

We circled the lake and then the obligatory icecream, perfect.
