Gemsbok (Oryx gazella)

This painting was done on slate that is mined on a farm in the Zeerust district in North West, South Africa.

My husband went to buy slate tiles to do the finishing touches on the walls around our house.

He was amazed to see this beautiful painting in the display area. As he grew up in Namibia, it brought back memories of his childhood and decided to buy it. Looks beautiful on our stoep.
