Sunset Mount Maunganui

I flew to Tauranga this morning for a 2 day break. I decided after the Boxing Day aftershocks I needed to plan short breaks out of Christchurch, this is the first. I'll be back to work on a very early morning flight Wednesday morning but in the meantime it's time with some extended family.

I spent a chunk of the afternoon with my cousin and a couple of surf toys in the water. My last ride was the best with a happy memory of decent ride along the turquoise blue Pacific Ocean wave, my finger tips dragging the surface.
