Daddy, this one's for you

Even though she told me I was too young to remember you, those words were useless to me. You have never stopped being that voice in my head that kept me out of trouble and encouraged me to do my best. I was nine when I saw your body cold but you made me strong. Losing you was the hardest thing I have ever had to face and having done that, there is nothing in this world I can't face on my own. But I'm never on my own because daddy you're always in " my heart" and I can feel you there.

Yes I know you probably would not like all of my tattoos but this one is for you. The last letter you wrote to me shortly before you passed away. The letter that is in your exact handwriting. The words that reminded me that mommy was out of her mind. The only words I need to feel loved.
