A well ground out result for the Pars. Greenock seemed set to drag this dull and boring game down, playing to keep Dunfermline from getting a chance at anything. Most of the first half was dull and much chatting could be heard around the ground as the support got listless.

Second half and a well struck goal sparked energy for five minutes. Then back to dreary football until several substitutions later and a quick lease of life we had another goal rebound of the crossbar and be judged to cross the line by the referee.

2-0 and all done. Not a great match by anyone standards but it was a win.
