Historic Portsmouth & Southsea

Walking along Southsea beach, I came across these original seawall stones that have been worn away by decades of tides. I love the texture of the stones and how the small pools of seawater glisten in the sun (Yes the sun is out in Hampshire!).

People think of HMS victory when you mention Portsmouth, but many a fleet have sailed from here, and a visit to "Historic Portsmouth" is highly recommended on a Sunday. Lots of history (Free!) and relaxing places to shelter from the weather........ well that's my excuse for a pub meal......
