By the canal
We went for a walk today along the newly diverted section of canal near the University; it's been diverted on to a newly built bridge. Stunning engineering feat. This is to make way for a new huge bypass road which will circumvent one of the more annoying stretches of Selly Oak and probably save a few student lives in the process, although they are generally quite determined to get in the way of cars.
It was a miserable rainy day and there was nothing to see really, apart from these pretty reflections of the new railings on the bridge.
You can see some nice little ripple-wells if you look at it big.
