Near the Harbour Bar in Bray Co Wicklow. A lovely evening with an old friend Ronan (who had come to visit from Vancouver for the first time in years). I have to head off now and meet him again with Slant etc. for a couple of scoops. May post some links when I get back.
Didn't get a spare moment till now. As I said, it was a beautiful evening, mild and richly mellow sunlight. I took some more shots, just magnetised by the place; seemed to be interesting possibilities everywhere:
The CHIMNEYS of sea-facing Martello Terrace (where Joyce's family resided in the late 1880s, the harbour wall in a cloud of GULLS, the boatyard with its forest of MASTS, and later, heading to the motorway past that edgy little satellite estate called White City, this dreamlike vision of the THE SUGARLOAF.
