near-perfect sunday
Ah, this is what Sundays were made for. Feeling slightly delicate after yesterday we got up around about 7 o clock. Amelie had come in beside us at 4 after a good sleep and we were pleased to see her. Chris had to work this morning so he left pretty much straight after we got up and luckily Granny was on hand to do Amelie breakfast as I wasn't feeling quite up to it! After a cup of tea, shower and piece of toast I felt much better and Granny, Papa, Amelie and I headed out for a walk. It wasn't a long walk but it was a lovely day and nice to get some fresh air. We then came back and I started on the roast. By the time dinner was ready Chris had arrived home and put Amelie down for a sleep. So we watched the rugby and had our lunch. Not the most enjoyable game and Scotland have let us down once again but thats a different story. Amelie was a bit upset this morning after she saw Chris only briefly and then he left. She fell asleep in the buggy when we were out but didn't wake up naturally as when we got back she woke up as I got her out. So needless to say she spent the rest of the afternoon being grumpy and desperate for a sleep. When not whingeing though she has been so funny. She now can do a fake sneeze (so so funny!) and lots of animal noises. One of her new favourite games is to play peekaboo with papa - shouting his name until he jumps out! Its been a lovely Sunday and I just wish that Chris hadn't had to work so he could have enjoyed it too. Granny and Papa head back tonight in an hour and then its back to normal until a week on Thursday when our next lot of visitors descends...
