Real vegetables for Sunday lunch
Day 2 of weekend away - country living Leicestershire Sunday lunch. No outside blips to be had as it was somewhat moist all day.
Best part of the day eating of course. Free for all on the roast pork and crackling, creamed leeks, roast spuds and nips in Goose fat (oh yes), peas and carrots.
The leeks and nips were taken from a place in Sue's garden called the ground. They had this dirty stuff on them though that required washing, but it was quite a shock to the system that despite the dirt they had a leek flavour and a parsnip flavour. Amazing what you can do in the 21st century.
