Loch Lomond Wallaby
Out on the canoe again today. I took my mate John over to Inchconnachan, as I had promised him he'd see one of the island's Red-necked wallabies. We were not disapointed. This wee fella was happy to hang around a while and get his photo taken. I've seen them a few times now, but seeing an antipodean marsupial living wild in Scotland is always a delight. A recent census revealed forty or so individuals living in the Inchconnachan woods. They descend from a single pair brought from Whipsnade Zoo in 1975.
